That is why Gauteng MEC for Education, Sport, Arts, Culture and Recreation, Lebogang Maile, will today officially launch the Olympia Park Vocational and Occupational School of Specialisation (SoS). The launch will take place in Geduld, Springs.
This is the 41st school in the province and it will focus on giving learners practical, technical and occupational skills that can help them prepare for further education, training and, more importantly help them be in a position to start their own businesses or be ready for world of work.
For many young people in Mzansi, having skills that can open doors to employment and further learning is becoming more important than ever.
The Olympia Park SoS is expected to provide learners with some of these opportunities to develop skills that can be used beyond the classroom.
