INDUSTRY PARTNERSHIPS BRING THE WORLD OF WORK INTO THE SCHOOL

Olympia Park’s transformation has been strengthened by partnerships with industry and training institutions.

Cable Feeder Systems (CFS) provides financial support, donates training equipment, assists financially with social worker support and provides training opportunities to learners in various fields.

Other partners provide targeted support to different areas of the school. HyGro Training College supports AgriSETA mixed-farming training for Year 4 learners; Data Matrix provides SETA-accredited courses; Springs Used Motor Parts donates vehicle components to the Motor Mechanics Department; and Stark Ayers Seeds provides seeds for Agriculture Studies.

Further partnerships include The Courier Guy, which supports sporting attire and equipment; Nirvana Business Solutions, which provides SETA courses; Bakeology Studio, which provides baking courses to Consumer Studies and Food Production learners; and Young Nails, which provides courses for Nail and Beauty learners.

The school is also receiving support from partners providing apprenticeships and learnerships, workshop equipment, learning material, tractor and forklift licences, agricultural training and support for its mechanical workshop.
